Top 3 Excuses I Can't Stand from WOHMs..

1. We NEED two incomes to survive... Yeah Right! I honestly believe that out of the people that say this 90% would be just fine if they would cut their lifestyle, move to a cheaper area and sacrifice. I am not buying it one bit when people say this.

2. I put my kid in Daycare for the socialization.. Good grief, how much socialization does a 10 month old need?? Besides there are better ways to much socialize young children.

3. I am a better mom if I work outside the home.. UGHH! How in the world do you think you are a better mom by handing your kid off to Grandma or someone else to raise while you go work?? Unless you are going to beat them or verbally abuse them, I always think at home with mom is where kids thrive the most..

THere are others I can't stand, but these are my top 3. Have at it..

You dont need to repeat yourself. I read it the first time.

<<>>

No not really. Type in pool drain danger in google. Amazing the stuff that pops up.

<<>>

You said you wouldnt be comfortable with allowing your children to swim in a lake at night. I didnt say anything about an ocean or river.

<<>>

Yep.

Me neither. In fact, I don't even let my kids take baths without a professional lifeguard in the bathroom. You really can't be too careful around kids and water.

<<<1) Why would life guards need to be EMTs? I would think CPR and first aid would be fine.>>>

Both work at our pool to supplement their income. I didnt say they needed to be anything. She was talking about a young person panicking at a pool in Wash. That wouldnt be an issue with our guards.

<<>>

Nope. But one of these 2 guys is on duty with the other guards at all times. It is open from 9am-8pm. It is 5ft deep.

<<>>

I think we have about 8. Some are year round, but most are summer hires so are HS or college students. They teach the lessons in the am and guard from 11am to 9pm every day seven days a week. There are at least three guards in chairs at all times, whenit gets really busy there are 5 - they rotate every 15 minutes.>>>

We have 2 on the chairs and 2 in the pool house at all times.

That winkie icon isnt always about joking. It is used for many contexts. Your words speak louder than your icons.

You let professional lifeguards see your children take a bath?

I did, the ones that I read were all in large public pools and not small backyard private pools.

Certainly. They are, after all, also MDs. They do it for the extra money.

So now you let MD's watch your children take baths? What does your DH think of that?

Editted to add:

You pay them to watch?
