1. We NEED two incomes to survive... Yeah Right! I honestly believe that out of the people that say this 90% would be just fine if they would cut their lifestyle, move to a cheaper area and sacrifice. I am not buying it one bit when people say this.

2. I put my kid in Daycare for the socialization.. Good grief, how much socialization does a 10 month old need?? Besides there are better ways to much socialize young children.

3. I am a better mom if I work outside the home.. UGHH! How in the world do you think you are a better mom by handing your kid off to Grandma or someone else to raise while you go work?? Unless you are going to beat them or verbally abuse them, I always think at home with mom is where kids thrive the most..

THere are others I can't stand, but these are my top 3. Have at it..

Oh, I have a great jellyfish story. Remind me to tell it someday.

It all depends on the area of the US and the laws respecting maternity leave and pumping at work. Here in CA, by law, businesses are required to provide time and space (with a locked door, not a bathroom) to allow mothers to pump at work. Arizona doesn't have those laws, which Joy finds barbaric and considers the lack of such laws to be a major factor in why more mothers don't breastfed there. Each state has their own laws.

Yow, that's a pretty big step. Are you sure about that??

It must be tough to be faced with such a decision. (((HUGS))) to you guys - and to the lifeguards, too. :-)

Maybe your parents should hire you a lifeguard.

Maybe it meant you had something (perhaps even pool water?) in one eye.

Right. Kinda like when someone says their kitchen is open 24/7. People who live there have access to it all the time, but it's not being used to feed the public.

how doyou propose to close a backyard pool? our pool is open 24/7 to anyone we choose to allow to use it, itis never open to anyone else and anyone else who is in the pool is trespassing and subject to having the police called on them. i will take necessary precations to keep the pool safe but i am not responsible for other parents who would allow their children to go onto others property without permission.
