1. We NEED two incomes to survive... Yeah Right! I honestly believe that out of the people that say this 90% would be just fine if they would cut their lifestyle, move to a cheaper area and sacrifice. I am not buying it one bit when people say this.
2. I put my kid in Daycare for the socialization.. Good grief, how much socialization does a 10 month old need?? Besides there are better ways to much socialize young children.
3. I am a better mom if I work outside the home.. UGHH! How in the world do you think you are a better mom by handing your kid off to Grandma or someone else to raise while you go work?? Unless you are going to beat them or verbally abuse them, I always think at home with mom is where kids thrive the most..
THere are others I can't stand, but these are my top 3. Have at it..

Ever since we built our pool, I refuse to go to a public pool.
You know its not that hard to overcome the drain issue. My dad always turned off the filter/pump while we were all swimming. Its a simple light switch you can flick on and off about 12 feet from the pool. Even my neighbors kids know to flip it off when they come over and want to go in the pool.
If the water isnt circulating, there's no suction at the drain, so no drowing, eviscerating, etc.
Do all of you folks you are objecting to her original wording have vast experience with private backyard pools being open to everyone who walks into them at ANY time? Or maybe regular open hours that your neighbors have?
When your friends say to you (assuming they do, maybe not), "Come visit anytime you're in town!" do you take it to mean come on by and hop in the pool 24/7?
Just curious. They do things differently in different parts of the world, but where I am from, when a pool owner says her pool is open 24 hours a day, we would tend to assume that it would be open to family and invited guests, and that she hasn't issued season passes to the entire community. But that's just us, here in the midwest. We're known to be a bit more conservative and careful than people in other parts of the country, so perhaps that's it.
