All it will do is jack up the rates for the people who utilize daycare.

I read this through but I'm still confused about how it would work. If they unionize, do they stop being independent contractors and start being government employees instead????

I would be more concerned with the home daycare workers who are willing to watch my children for peanut pay.

I don't get the "work for the government" comment even kind of - How does joining a union mean you work for the Government?

In my view, whether daycare is affordable for everybody or not, daycare workers deserve to be paid a living wage, just like everyone else who works.
