Lets have a little weekend fluff, as i dont know about anyone else, but i am pretty bored with how weddings should be run, how showers are fun or not, blah, blah, blah.

whats up this weekend? anyone doing anything fun? anyone relaxing? anyone working? anyone doing anything out of the ordinary??? why do you come on the debate board?? have you recommended it to anyone? how many children do you have? do you want more? would you have the same number of kids if you did it over again? are you done having kids? if you're not done, how many more do you think you would like?

just a few nosy questions. answer all, some, none. whatever......but lets not talk about weddings and whether they have alcohol or dancing, thank you very much.....LOL

Well, we went to look at some land this afternoon. :( IT IS HOT HERE! 104 today, and this is Oklahoma, so that is HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT!!!!

Anyway...the land. Do you realize how BIG 6.55 acres is? Do you know how ICKY little ponds are? Did you know how ITCHY grown up grass and bushes and...okay, let's face it, there is NO grass there, so whatever those grass-looking plant/weed-thingys are. UGH!

LOVE the land, could even handle the pond. BUT...it is about 40 minutes out from where I live now. So about a 60 minute drive to anywhere I will be working (unless I get lucky and get a job in Norman), and about 45 minutes from the Junior College I'm going to be at for the next 2 years. HOWEVER, it is only about 20 minutes from where I will be getting my Bachelors, and where I hope to be going for law school. :( what to do, what to do.

This land is soooo much cheaper than ANY where else we have looked b/c it is so far out. Not even in a town. The school district is supposed to be GREAT, and I'm hearing this from people who don't even like public school. It is a small district in a local town, and have both great academics and sports.

We would be getting 6.55 acres, with a pond for $15,000. Of coarse, added to that we have to put in a septic ($2500), connect to the new water lines they are putting in ($800), Convert our gas to propane connections, and rent/buy a propane tank ($500), Have a foundation poured ($????), have our house moved ($7000), and have DHs dream garage built ($5000). Not to mention, I would have to buy him a tractor with a brush(hog?)-thingy for it...which he says will be about another $5000. WHEN DID THIS GET SO DARNED EXPENSIVE? UGH UGH UGH

I'm a little worried about the distance, though, even though the land is SUCH a good deal. So, I guess we will look around a bit more, but I know we won't get anything anywhere near the price on this. Towns closer into the city are running $12,000 and up for ONE acre! UGH

Anyone have any thoughts on propane? I've never used it and neither has DH, and I don't know anything about it. Thoughts?

Well, my kiddos will be here in less than 2 hours! Haven't seen them since early Monday morning. I can't wait!

Today I spent most of the day unpacking the kids' rooms, getting them ready. My house is now probably 2/3 unpacked! Tomorrow stbxh and I are taking the kids to an aquarium and doing a few "family" things. (have to get those in before the OW won't let us do things tobether ...)

As to the rest of your post ...

>

Company. Stress relief. Support (can you believe it? lol). Boredom.

<< have you recommended it to anyone?>>

Not really. I've talked about it to plenty of people, but never actually recommended it.

<< how many children do you have?>>

Two. 7yo dd and 3yo ds.

<>

Nope. But now that I'm a single mom, my thoughts may change if I meet Mr. Right.

<< would you have the same number of kids if you did it over again?>>

Dunno. But there ARE plenty of things I would do differently. Hindsight is 20/20 you know.

<< are you done having kids? if you're not done, how many more do you think you would like? >>

See above.

Nosy? never ....

The weekend started out fine but I just had the police leave. Our license plate is missing, we assume that it was stolen when I was at Walmart earlier, so he came by to do a police report.

One to the rest of the questions:

whats up this weekend?

Tomorrow we are having DH office over for a pool party/barbeque. So today has been spent cleaning and cooking.

anyone doing anything fun?

I sure hope tomorrow will be fun.

why do you come on the debate board?

I actually like to debate. Not out going enough to do it in person. When I try to debate with my family they take it as argueing.

have you recommended it to anyone?

No, if I knew someone else on the board then I would feel less free to express myself.

how many children do you have?

3 DDs

do you want more?

no.

would you have the same number of kids if you did it over again?

Knowing the DDs I have yes. But from a practical and financial standpoint it would have been better to stop at two.

are you done having kids?

Yes, we are only a few years from being empty nesters.

Oh, to answer your other questions:

>>>why do you come on the debate board??<<<

B/c I'm a glutton for punishment? Because I have to have someone to argue with? giggle. I'm not sure I really have an answer for this one, this board is just like an addiction!

>>>have you recommended it to anyone?<<<

NO

>>>how many children do you have?<<<

Two, DD is 6 and DS will be 5 in a week and a half.

>>>do you want more?<<<

I would have loved to had more if DH hadn't been hurt. However, as things are now, it is best to have the two we have.

>>>would you have the same number of kids if you did it over again?<<<

Yes and no. In the situation I'm in, I would not have had more kids. However, in perfect circumstances, I would have liked 4-6 kids. :)

>>>are you done having kids?<<<

Unfortunately, yes.

putting the finishing touches on the baby nursery. We are doing the Rainbow fish theme. I even converted the aquarium into a more "rainbow fish looking thing". I used blue, purple, and green stones in it and made a backdrop for it. I used one of those plastic sheets that attach to the glass in the back...but used the solid blue color background instead of the "underwater photo side"....and then cut out Rainbow fish and friends from a book and attached them to the blue background. It turned out really cute.

My daughter (6 1/2) painted a big picture of Rainbow fish and friends on a 20x24 inch canvas. It also turned out really cute.
