What about eating issues?

We have debated sleeping issues to death once again....so what about another one of the issues of childhood....eating and/or not eating?

My kids eat just about anything and have a pretty well rounded diet.

From my understanding salt will not cause high blood pressure but if someone has high blood pressure then it will effect it. A high salt meal has no effect on my blood pressure but it does effect my DH.

Okay, some of the things I've learned from here...and some of the things to avoid.

You need to come to NH. Lots of girls wear boob tubes. My DH calls it the "trashy townie look."

It came from the east just as bright as a torch, she saw in the sky from her daddy's porch, heavenly sent as it was back then.....when Halley came to Jackson in 1910

I always hit repeat when that song plays.....and listen 6 or 7 times before I'm ready to move on :)

Our nearest body of water is a swamp. So they can get their protein via the mosquito larvea, too.

Stop making me laugh. I'm supposed to be working!

I dunno. I see nothing wrong with somebody saying "this is my style and I like it and I don't care if you don't approve". I applaud anybody who refuses to be a sheep and buy clothes that she didn't want to buy simply because other people shame her into it.

I love/hate that show.

I mean, really, what is so bad about having your own preference/style when it comes to clothes. Why must anyone change what they feelcomfortable wearing just because other people around them don't dress the same way that they do. It is really very superficial.

Of course, I have also seen one What Not to Wear that I actually liked. There was a girl who wore the most low cut revealing inappropriate clotehs to work, becasue she had previpously been heavy and finally had lost weight and thought she looked young and sexy. But in fact, her skimpy look was hurting her career and people were treating her like a tramp based on what she wore. I think that show did help her figure out how to be sexy and pretty without being trashy.

But for the most part, it's just clothes. And the only person who needs to like them is the person wearing them. Really, what's the big deal if Felicia wants lined shorts and wears more classic looks?

What if they could look better? If my 'look' is muumuus and hair rollers, should I stick with it because "ain't nobody gonna tell me different!" even though I could look better?

Refusal to try

LOL, around here in New England there are plenty of women who have never shopped beyond Brooks Brothers and LLBean. They only need to shop once something wears out because the styles hardly change. It's not about being in style. It's about being correct in one's uniform. Also above it all. My FIL wears exactly what he wore when he was a young man (except for the uniform). If men can do it, why not women?
