What about eating issues?

We have debated sleeping issues to death once again....so what about another one of the issues of childhood....eating and/or not eating?
My kids eat just about anything and have a pretty well rounded diet.

Except the color, right?
Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color. Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable.
Heeey! I'm the mother of boys and I like fashion. ;-) I also like things that look good on my overweight body. I have to be very careful about how I dress because of my size. I don't do ruffles or flounces because they don't look good on me. And have you noticed that lots of things this year have ruffles and flounces? I tried to find a simple dressy dress for my cousin's wedding. It was very difficult to find, and that was in Lord and Taylor. Finally found a Jones NY dress that looked good, but I paid through the nose for it. Then I went to Sears with my sister and couldn't believe the better choices they had there over L&T. Go figure.
I like shopping at Kohl's and have found some wonderful things at Coldwater Creek.
Before I got out of law school, I was quite ahppy to get a crew cut, or come home with "egplant colored hair" or anything else. But now that I have to look professional at least five days a week, there is really only one look that I've found that works for me and is low enough maintenance to work on a daily basis.
As for make-up, I gave that up after baby number three. No time for that. (Except the toenails. DD has me do her nails every other day. And she picks the color for my toes as well. Today they are purple. So I am wearing open toe-shoes, which drives our managing partner nuts, so I'll be avoiding him today.)
Oh, I definitely think the moms of boys quite often avoid some major pitfalls by keeping to a sportier look. Last week I was walking in Harvard Square with my kids and this mother/daughter duo came by, both in 3-tier miniskirts. The teenager looked great, but the mom looked like a beachball being blown along by the wind. Her butt looked like someone forgot to push the "Off" button LOL.
I like Sears, too. They have come a long way.
All the money in the world doesnt buy good taste or a sense of style though....

I've never heard of salt being attributed to high blood pressure, but I've heard that those who have high blood pressure should avoid salt because it does aggravate it.
And no doubt about it, sugar has no redeeming health benefits! Empty calories and bad for you ;o). But I still like it, LOL!

Lol, gee that sounds like our backyard!! Dh asked me if I wanted to put the lawn in back there this year too, and I was kind of like *why bother*? Although we will put in a lawn next year, its going to be small and bordered with gravel. I'm putting a gravel path all along the fenceline because they would do the exact same thing to grass as your dogs did! Goat trail! :o)

Lol, but I think it does require that one's wardrobe doesnt consist mainly of items that are over 10 years old....
