What about eating issues?

We have debated sleeping issues to death once again....so what about another one of the issues of childhood....eating and/or not eating?

My kids eat just about anything and have a pretty well rounded diet.

Sometimes always looking at the positive turns into sugarcoating.

<> Why would you say that? Do you think we don't love and cherish our children as much as you do yours? Sheesh.

Shades of grey, Felicia. . shades of grey.

There's a lot of 'distance' between looking for/at positives and sugarcoating.

Where did I miss that Joey is unhappy?

Children that are whiny, manipulative and demanding are unhappy, I think. I would think that would make the majority of the toddler set (often whiny, manipulative and demanding) unhappy children.

You know, come to think of it, I'm not afraid of ants. I never was. It's just when they all come running out of a lady's pants like that... yech, creepy. And isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, ooh ooh ooh, the sky is the limit!

I think you are twisting that. I, for one, dont see any general negatives to parenting (as in, coming up with reasons why it might be better not to be a parent). That doesnt mean I *never* find parenting my children difficult. But I also didnt expect it to be a bed of roses-relationships with any other human being, especially very close ones, can be difficult at times. Thats called life, has nothing to do with parenting.

"You've given me no reason to believe that you understand Joey's temperament or are making any effort to deal with what you describe as his whiny, demanding, and manipulative personality."

Oh, I need to do so? Nope.

Isn't whiny and demanding just part of their job description? LOL

I think tapes of my 3 year old whining could be played on a continuous loop as a torture device....

"she is quite satisfied with about 15 hours a week with her kids, and limited time on the weekends."

I see the kids about 20 hours during an average work week.

I searched the archives back for a year .. there was not a single post from Felicia that ever used the word unhappy in regards to joey. Not one. What I did find were: whiny, demanding and difficult. (and aren't many, many, many kids those without being unhappy?). I also found "passionate".

And a particularly intersteing quote from PNJ. "I had a blast with Joey on Saturday."

But no, PNJ never talks about enjoying her kids.
