What about eating issues?

We have debated sleeping issues to death once again....so what about another one of the issues of childhood....eating and/or not eating?

My kids eat just about anything and have a pretty well rounded diet.

You know, I've noticed that. Sometimes when I do something to "maximize" my life, like say, fly to a foreign country, I don't sleep well for several days afterward. Nor do the kids. So I don't travel with them. So that's why my kids won't be staying up late to see Mars approaching its closest point in orbit in several hundred years this August , or the meteor showers, or the Fourth of July fireworks --- because the maximization of their experience would be dreadfully inconvenient for ME.....no wait, I'm channelling.

I was in a Chinese restaurant once where they brought me my eel live in a waterless plastic bucket first. That thing was a lot angrier than your average lobster.

He doesn't eat meals, just grazes all day at 2 or 3 hour intervals.

LOL, truth be told, I never cook for my ILs. They are both great cooks and ultra picky, so we go out or DH cooks or we eat food they cooked at home (!)

See, any way you respond, she's got an answer for you that she thinks proves her point. If you aren't overweight, she can say it's because of your genes and you're thin despite eating in a way she is sure will result in making people fat. If you're overweight, well see, it's because you're eating in a way that she thinks will make people fat.
