What about eating issues?

We have debated sleeping issues to death once again....so what about another one of the issues of childhood....eating and/or not eating?

My kids eat just about anything and have a pretty well rounded diet.

I probably should mention that Grace is really into routine.

Is Wonder Bread even considered "bread"? LOL..... I remember as a kid I wanted Wonder bread too. Of course, as an adult who only eats whole grain (or sour dough)--Yuck.

Hi. If you don't mind, could you share with me your recipe for brussel sprouts? I have a bil who likes them and has requested including it for Thanksgiving meals. The one you posted about actually sounded good.

I have yet to hear a mother on this board who doesn't have her kids on a nap schedule because she lacks the discipline to stick to a routine.

Exactly! I did that too. And everyone went for the vegetarian version. Even the fake gravy. Maybe because it was actually portabella mushroom gravy. But even the packaged fake gravy is yum. Everyone tried and liked the tofurkey. Then again we were all raised eating tofu dishes. Vegetarian meals have just changed over the years. They make some really good stuff now.

Is your brother not a vegetarian anymore?

Let me guess - every single mother who doesn't or didn't have a nap routine did it solely because the child wasn't easily placed into a routine and it was for the child's benefit to sleep at erratic times (not because it was too much work to get into a routine)?

Oh? I'm supposed to know, or at least think its probably going to benefit the kids, before I inconvenience myself? Cripes. I risk all kinds of fairly sizeable inconvenience on the mere threat of remotely possible benefit. For anyone, to anyone. I call it - adventure.

I love some of the German wursts ("Wursten"). Others, like Blutwurst, or blood sausage, not so much. They all have the advantage of freezing really well.

Psst, your prejudice is showing. It doesn't have to be for a child's benefit to sleep at "erratic times" not to have said child on a nap schedule. It just has to be better to the family as a whole than the alternative.
