What about eating issues?
| Fri, 06-10-2005 - 2:24pm |
We have debated sleeping issues to death once again....so what about another one of the issues of childhood....eating and/or not eating?
My kids eat just about anything and have a pretty well rounded diet.

But that was the whole point. I dont think anyone was advocating that the meal be strictly vegan or vegatarian. Only that a good host would provide enough sustenance for them to be satisfied-not just nod at the side salad and say "There ya go".
Accomodating a vegan might involve making an extra side or two, but its not that complicated. Nor does it mean that other guests should not be accomodated as well.

You asked btw and then you pretty much ignored the response and the obvious.
I completely agree. My bil is allergic to a million things, food-wise, too many to keep track of, really. When he comes to a party, he brings his own food.
We *might* try to have food specifically for him if he would ever remember to RSVP, but that's a totally different issue.
Also, I was a vegetarian for years (not vegan) and I just ate what I could. I don't recall one instance when some one made a dish just for me. BUT, I was younger and not really attending too many dinner parties at the time.
