We have debated sleeping issues to death once again....so what about another one of the issues of childhood....eating and/or not eating?
My kids eat just about anything and have a pretty well rounded diet.

I know I did as a kid.
We had very limited sweets, no soda, no desserts. When
But I wouldnt say that meat eaters eat *only* meat. A good cook can come up with a variety of dishes that will please everyone, without losing the flavor of the food or anyone going hungry. I dont think a vegetarian should necessarily have to prepare a meat dish, but I think that ANY host should make sure there is a variety of enjoyable food that EVERYONE can eat.
Like I said in another post-would you serve shellfish for dinner after inviting over someone you KNOW is allergic to it? Would you serve a big roast ham to an orthodox jew you invited over for dinner? Its no different, imo.

I'm behind bianca on this one. Much of what we do on weekends we all do *together*. If we want/need to do soemthng alone, the other person generally isn't home doing nothing, but also out doing *something*.
We *like* to do the Lowe's runs or the Farmer's Market or the kids' haircuts altogether.
Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color. Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable.
You aren't concerned about diabetes, minerals and vitamins (remember, I have extremely high iron, so I am aware of the needed balance of elements) and dental care?

Yep. . .me too.
I can give you yesterday's "menu"......
For breakfast (8:15) he had Life cereal and a bowl of cut up fresh peaches & a couple strawberries (Peaches are finally in season!!!!YEAH).
Outside in the backyard with his friends (I was watching 2 other 5 year olds yesterday) playing for the better part of the morning.
Came in around 10:00 am had a banana. Went back outside.
12:00ish had lunch of cheese quesiedillas on corn tortillas, cut up tomotoes, baby carrrots and manderin oranges.
After lunch, they had SUPER HERO POPSICLES. Back outside.
He came in about 2:00 wanted peanut butter & jelly sandwich (made on whole grain) gave him some grapes with it. Let him play on computer for a while. Maybe about an hour. We then took a walk around neighborhood.
I think about 5:30 dinner was barbequed steak, corn on the cobb, tomatoes from our salad, vegetable pasta and glass of milk. After dinner went outside to play with dh and then came in and played with his cars.
About an hour after dinner we had some butter pecan ICE CREAM.
Brushed teethed, read books went to bed.
Ahhhhhh...the day in a life of a five year old. :)
