What about eating issues?

We have debated sleeping issues to death once again....so what about another one of the issues of childhood....eating and/or not eating?
My kids eat just about anything and have a pretty well rounded diet.

If it works for you I think that's great but I would really be unhappy with such a rigid schedule...especially on the weekends.
We like to stay up late and watch movies until 1-2 am...I'm a little tired the next day but I deal. Mealtimes are totally different on the weekends if we are out doing things. Sometimes we'll have a big brunch and skip lunch altogether...even the kids. My son doesn't get his regular bottles while we're out. We like to rent a car every two months and go out of the City so we leave really early in the morning.
It isn't like this every weekend. Some weekends I stick to home and they pretty much do everything as they would with my Nanny. It depends. But my kids seem to adapt just fine and they really look forward to the weekends because we like to plan lots of fun things for them. Last week for example we went to Long Island (Jones Beach) and they napped on the way over there and on the way back. It didn't affect their enjoyment of the beach and they slept like babies (hee hee) at night!
I would be really unhappy to only get 4 or 5 hours of sleep on a weekend night.

Will it come before 12:10 am? Because I am sure my ds would not tolerate anything less. (I'm kidding, he wouldn't even know about the midnight event without me, most likely!)
My ds got to about page 100 last time before we marched in and confiscated the book in the wee hours of the morning.
We once stood in line for about three hours at the Mall of America to meet Lemony Snicket. I've decided that if we are going to show our children rabid behavior, it might as well be over books.
My kids were and have always been kind of go with the flow kids.

We went to the drive in last Saturday. Alex feel asleep around 11 in the back of the car. Zak stayed up with me watching Kicking and Screaming. We got home around 1 AM but had a blast. I almost took them to Wal Mart on the way back but Alex was out. He was in deep sleep so I decided not to wake him up. Neither of them woke until around 9:30.
If I had children that would not sleep in, I would never do things like that. Fortunately, mine manage to sleep in when they have been out late.

Your kids are older, much busier and from everything you've ever said, much more flexible.
And for the sleep schedule, that makes sense because you're a nightowl so your weekday schedule interferes with your natural sleep cycle.

No, most likely it won't arrive until sometime later that day.....but then again, I don't have to stand in line either, lol.
