This made me snort. I was toying with the idea of going to exclusively pumping, and spent hours today reading the comments to an article on Time. You just summed up the supposed evils of pumping/bottle-feeding in a single sentence. I should have come here first.
Edited to add: I found pumping to be a real pain in the butt. The way I figure it, it negates one of the advantages of breastfeeding, which is convenience. Honestly, if I had had to exclusively pump, I probably would have switched to formula pretty darn quick. Women who do it for a year should get a Best Mommy Ever award, imo.
Yes, I feel the same way. I found pumping painful and difficult.

I imagine one of the reasons people cling to their hates so stubbornly is because they sense, once hate is gone, they will be forced to deal with pain.
I believe that everyone must rejoice in his destiny, in the fact that he has lived at all and achieved a destiny. Destiny is the only sure asset.

"I also think that it is important for EVERY member of the family does "chores" for the household. Each person is part of the family and thus each is responsible for the running of the household. Plus, in these debates I frequently see posters not including some of the traditional "Dad"/Male duties. For example, yard work, car repair, bill paying, financial planning....."

No.
Individual decisions. What makes it work for that husband & wife. What makes it work for that particular family in that house.
Although I'm young, I'm very traditional and pretty old fashion but every individual is different. Each family unit is not the same.
