The fewer times you ovulate over your lifetime, the less likely you are to develop certain cancers. That is one of the reasons why bearing children and breast feeding is good for women.
I understand that you don't want to debate and nobody is going to make you. However, it would be easier to understand what you are trying to say, if you would state what your beliefs are. So far, I can make out that you believe women mainly BF because they can't afford formula and that BF is not in any way preferable to FF. What else?
"If a guy is the main breadwinner, he doesn't have to willing or able to take care of the kids for a weekend. "
I know you are describing a certain dynamic you see, I don't see it that often. I see more of the opposite. An attitude of "I took care of the kids all week and I need a break, therefore, you the wohp need to take care of the kids over the weekend." This was more prevalent when my kids were younger.
Ducky, I know I"m late on this and I know its not the BF/FF board but I just watned to say that my relationship with Liza STARTED when the incredibely kind lactation nurse took one look at us and said "honey if this isn't for you it's OK to stop' -- we BOTH hated it and my decision to formula feed Liza was the best one I ever made for both of us-- Iknow it's all nutrionally inferior yadda yadda but I have not one ounce of guilty not one ounce of regret at that decision so I always try to speak up when I hear moms use the "tsk tsk how sad' tone of voice. for me it was JOYOUS to stop thehell that was breastfeeding believe me...
;-)
I now return you to your regularly scheduled debate....
"If gay Americans are not allowed to get married and have all the benefits that American citizens are entitled to by the Bill of Rights, they should get one hell of a tax break. That is my opinion,"
God help me hazel I'm gonna agree wth you here.... I never ever poured a bottle of forumla for Liza and thought 'ok kiddo mommies giving you an inferior breakfast bottoms up!"
"If gay Americans are not allowed to get married and have all the benefits that American citizens are entitled to by the Bill of Rights, they should get one hell of a tax break. That is my opinion,"
sometimes it's the best decisionfor the parties involved though.... for me it was....made me a much happier katie...
and my INCREDIBLY smug friend who used to whip her boobs out all the time while I was feeding Liza and say "I'm so GLADDDDD I can do THIS for MY child"? her kid was the one getting the tubes for the ear infectios - not mine (karma...it is a wonderful thing sometimes)
