When we first got married, yes. We would do it a couple of times a week. On the weekends we would leave our apt. in the morning/early afternoon and be gone all day an usually not home until late evening.
Alex now packs and carries the "Going to Grandma's" tote bag that used to be Joy's. It's now patched in several places and carries cars instead of stuffed animals.
Did not say that your experience was not normal. Just answering the OP's question as to why an 18 month old *might* not be eating the same things as her or his parents. Witho nly 4 teeth at 18 months he could not chew, he could mush. So, if we had something like steak, he had baby foods.
We were getting ready to go into the pool. The older kids could get their clothes off and suits-with help for the 4 year olds-on but I had to undress and dress the baby, get lotion on all 3 younger kids, get swimmies on 2 kids, get myself into my suit, make sure I had all the towels, lotions, phones. I am sure I am missing something but when I looked back at the clock-it was 30 minutes. AND...I move very fast-lol!!
I'll never forget flying back from Disney with Liza when she was 4 -- she had her headphones on with her disney tunes playing , her mickey sunglasses on

"True, we started pretty early with the kids"
So you are agreeing that since you also started early with your kids is the reason why they do not give you a problem now.
He was totally exhausted, but not because of him going to bed late the night before...I don't think he went to bed past 9pm that night, in fact.

I can respect that, I think we have different ideas of what work involves.

I take snacks on the plane for me, there is something about flying that makes me hungry and peanuts simply do not cut it, lol.
