What have you "given up" in order to have and parent children?

If you WOH a standard office workweek and have the kids on a Friday or Monday, you'd need to use childcare or take vacation time.

You have indicated that you have "maintained" relationships. Why would that be different than myself?
I have family and friends for many many years that I have "maintained" relationships. Why would that mean that I could find someone to babysit my children whenever I want them to?

Why do you think that?

I had one of ds2 friends a couple of weeks back on a week night (a day that both dh and I worked)

I disagree. DH is more of a night owl, but over the years we've been married he (at my request lol) is trying to be happy going to bed earlier. He can't live by his natural cycle - he has to get up at 7 am five days a week.

I don't check luggage, period. I don't usually carry a purse when I travel. And because I AM short, my legs don't need to go under the seat in front of me, so I can stow an overnight bag there and the kids' backpacks under their seats. We will have to re-evaluate next trip because Baby Einstein is very close to 6 feet tall now and will need more leg room than last time we flew, when he was only about 5'5" tall.

To me, that's all pretty complicated.

WHY? I have three kids all the time and I don't need to take vacation time, why would I need to if I had another kid involved??????

I thought eating late wasn't good?

So this is more of a characteristic of your children specifically than a result of having children, I understand that.

I can see that, our weekends now are not mostly spent at home, most of the time we are always out and about...dh would rather be at home more, but we tend to be out and about more than we are home, lol.

What did the child do after school and while you and your DH were both at work?
