It isn't but if you are asking me if I would do the same as I did before kids, I am telling you I would (and I am sure I wouldn't weigh what I do now-lol!!)

So this is more of a characteristic of your children specifically than a result of having children, I understand that.
I do not understand how a woman as obviously smart as you are seems to consider things like having another plate at the table or flying with kids to be so enormously complicated. A friend needs a favor, you chat for a bit, work it out. One of our pastors is married to another pastor and they usually have to go off to Annual Conference together. Their kid moves in for a week. Because they already have him in aftercare because of THEIR work schedule, all I have to do is walk him to school, pick him up, and maybe make arrangements to get him to a baseball game or two during the week they are gone. I am used to the logistics of running three kids around, sleepovers, camps, parties, whatever. An extra one for a few days is barely a blip on the radar.
In my case, when I have cared for friends of my children, since they are in school together and do the same activities together...it is not usually an issue for working parents as they both are normally in aftercare together anyway. If the child has a sahp and doesn't go to aftercare, our school allows for drop in after care and they pay something like $5 for the hour that they may need in order for me to pick them up with my children.
No, I am not glossing over it. I am taking her straight statement. It is obvious that her opinion is that her daughter can go to restaurants more easily because she has gone since a young age while her friends child did not.
I have an 1.45 minutes last night to talk to my dh, a couple of my good friends and watch my son play a baseball game at the same time last night, lol.
With the kids-taking them to a park, going to the beach, doing things outside with them and my dh, taking them for ices, ice cream, going to outside venues....
Without the kids-doing my food shopping, doing regular shopping, running errands, getting my hair done, maybe getting a pedicure (none so far this year though-lol!!).

Again, I think you are glossing over the first part.

I thought eating late wasn't good?
