I have an 1.45 minutes last night to talk to my dh, a couple of my good friends and watch my son play a baseball game at the same time last night, lol. You also have to remember my kids are older and a lot of the times doing their own thing when we are at home at night or on the weekends.

My kids do their own things too, play games, watch TV and movies, play outside, go on the computer, video games, my dd goes to friends houses, etc. but after they go to bed is the time my dh 99% of the time have uninterrupted time for us to talk, watch tv or a movie, have a drink together, eat, etc.....

You are up to 11-12 each night?

Usually since my dh stays up that late. I did go to bed at 9pm the day I watched all the kids as I was exhausted-lol!!! I also have been slow at work so I haven't been as tired and my has been helping alot out at home so I have less things on my plate to do after work.

Baby Einstein was pretty late going into puberty. He was shorter than me on his birthday when he turned fifteen, and I am 5'4. He is now just a smidge taller than his father, who is somewhere between 5'11 and 6' tall. I think DH has actually shrunk a bit in the last year, he used to be something like 5'11 7/8, now it's probably 5'11 and a half to 5/8....

Sounds like low expectations to me.

But again, you are assuming that lax with bedtimes equals staying up late or as in the case of sild, having an early bedtime did nothing to get her dd to sleep at that time.

We check luggage and each of us has a carryon bag that goes under the seat in front of us.

Let's put it this way, unless I'm out for the evening after 10 pm, there's nothing going on that I would need or want to stay up for.

I find it equally remarkable that these women, most of them, expect their DHs to be the main breadwinners. Works both ways.

<<You have indicated that you have "maintained" relationships.>>

No, I said I wasn't sure if it was luck or that I worked to maintain those types of relationships.
