ITA with you. I think I was speaking more of the families whose kids are going to bed at midnight, 1am or 2am-my neighbor was like this, would hear him outside at around 8 years old at 1:30 in the morning and the mother told me once that the 2 yr. old was watching a movie at 11:30pm while she was outside having a cigarette. This was an everyday occurence.

My dh was also a child like this. His mother dragged him and his siblings all over and they would eat dinner at 9pm and fall asleep on friends and families couches and floors at midnight or later while she played cards.

Don't know where you live but I live in a very high COL and between the mortgage, taxes, homeowners, utilities, gas, etc. there is not much many people can save for vacations.

my ex did less than a few chores -- that's part of the reason that he's an ex.

I'm with you there. Thank god for my weekly cleaning service, because I would think other board members might call the board of health on my lack of "standards". BTW - In less flush (wink) times they came biweekly, clutter, dust, and filth abounded, but we were happy as pigs in s.., ;-)

Is salsa a veg? Cos, if yeah, I'm good today, homemade too...

I have a cleaning lady too, and I do not clean the toilet daily. There are also dirty dishes in the kitchen sink on a regular basis. My standards are not very high, no.

It all depends on one's definition of clean.

It doesn't matter where one lives. IMO, if one cannot save for vacations because of ones mortgage, it means the mortgage is too high for the income.

I live in a very high COL too.
