What kind of errands....

Do you run on a daily basis? Weekly basis? Monthly basis?

I've often heard people say that they need a lot of time during the week to run errands and that those errands would otherwise take up their evenings and weekends if they had to WOH ft. It made me curious because I just don't seem to have many errands to run at all. Are we just lazy :-)?

Umm, what exactly is your position?

Not understanding something isn't a position. Your whole post was about not understanding. My whole post was meant to help you understand how it could come about that a son-in-law might accompany a father-in-law on a trip far away. "I don't understand why a financially sound, (presumably)well travelled, ex military officer needs to have another adult dawn the nanny gown, the martyr hat and embark on the chore of taking him on an international outing."

Of course I do not think I am typical.

Competitive sport information does not simply go around the schools in our area, it doesn't simply go around period.

In my field as in most, the income vs time curve is not linear. It starts out slow, the slope increases for awhile as experience is gained in the range of some particularily marketable level, then it levels off again. Our income increased more rapidly in our e30s than in our 20s. This is a very typical scenario, and not just in the white collar arena.

So having a greater income has absolutely less than nothing to do with having your kids, they just came along somewhere in the time continuum where your income was going up. I can buy that. But that is not what you said initially. Thanks for the clarification!

Hmmmm...I wonder what you think of me.

I wore my sister's wedding dress when I got married.

Just lurking here and there, had a bunch of trips this summer--we were in London during the terror attacks, quite an interesting experience for my first passport related trip. Hit the Oregon coast with the monkeys for a week right before school. Thanks for asking:)
