What kind of errands....

Do you run on a daily basis? Weekly basis? Monthly basis?

I've often heard people say that they need a lot of time during the week to run errands and that those errands would otherwise take up their evenings and weekends if they had to WOH ft. It made me curious because I just don't seem to have many errands to run at all. Are we just lazy :-)?

That's only because you have no need to be.

Actually, my dd's lay even more of a trip on me than the nurse does when they get sick at school.

I really haven't been called in a situation where everybody wasn't on the same page about what to do next. Nor have my backups when they got the call. Maybe you get calls from the nurse for no reason, but I don't.

Some of those NHL stars are super hot. Stay tuned, we might pick up some good pointers here. First, you sign up your kids for daily practice...

Oh, you misunderstood. Sorry about that. I 'worked for fun' as in 'to fund my fun'....of course, in addition to food and shelter.

Ever hear of discretionary income? You know, that stuff left over after living expenses? Had more of it pre-kids.

Since I don't really get the rest of your post, I'll just state, FTR, that yes, I did drop out of school, but I WENT BACK. I have a BS in Business.

I know I am in the minority of posters here, but it is possible to leave university and RETURN at some point.

Perfectly reasonable and above and beyond for you in my opinion. I am not of the camp that says someone needs to be there within 15 minutes or CPS should be called. I just find it amusing the tone that some have taken as if the nurse is out to get them or something. I mean c'mon, do we need a school manual typed verbatim to prove that , in fact, the school has no power to force us to pick up our kids? Forget that it is the right thing to make every possible effort to have a plan in place so your kid spends the minimum amount of time feeling like crap in the sick room. It is an argument without purpose as I have yet to encounter one parent on this board who wouldn't get someone to the kid asap, I don't believe there is one here who would refuse to leave work to do a pick up or make sure that someone could.

And btw I think your closeness to your stepson (for lack of a better word) is admirable.

Oh sure, but it's shared among all my co-workers. That's the phone the school called. But if I'm not there, it's not like I have voicemail or something.
