What kind of errands....

Do you run on a daily basis? Weekly basis? Monthly basis?

I've often heard people say that they need a lot of time during the week to run errands and that those errands would otherwise take up their evenings and weekends if they had to WOH ft. It made me curious because I just don't seem to have many errands to run at all. Are we just lazy :-)?

"My having fun at a recreational activity is based....well on the activity and not the outcome." Right. I thought the activity you had in mind actually had something to do with SWINGING THE BAT and RUNNING FOR THE BASE. But you complained when I suggested it might. So what I'd like to know is, what activity are you doing on the base that's so much fun, if it doesn't involve trying to get a hit or running for the base?

You just supported her point, completely, again. Were you aware this time?

Oh lets see... you quit because you figured out you wouldn't be gauaranteed anything in particular upon finishing. Then your husband insisted you finish because you suppose he was worried you wouldn't be able to support the kids. So you did and still are aggravated that you had to do that because you can't figure out what the point was. I'd love to find the exact post really I would. I just don't think I can make myself dedicate that much time to the effort. I'm not that worried about it. I'm fairly sure you'll repost exactly the same thing again at some point in the not so distant future.

Um, I know you weren't ITAing susannah, but ksasmom. And ksasmom was the one who said "I mean c'mon, do we need a school manual typed verbatim to prove that , in fact, the school has no power to force us to pick up our kids?" And my answer to that is, for some people, apparently yes, which is why I did so. "I was agreeing that it was the right thing to do to try have a plan in place so that your child spends a minimal amount of time the nurse's office." OK, that's great. I hope my child spends a minimal amount of time in the nurse's office. I am not, however, about to freak out if that minimal amount of time turns out to be an hour or two. YMMV.

The softball game...sure we did, although we did win a couple this year as well.

Did you have trouble understanding what was fun about my experiences playing recreational softball as I explained it to QM multiple times in multiple posts over the last couple of days, so much that I have to repeat it yet again?

Although only you (and QM) seem to be awfully focused on what happens at a piece of the individual level in a team sport

Its lots and lots of fun to stand still while someone else whips a hard round object in your general direction and tries to hit the slender stick you are holding in your hands I guess.

Dh never 'insisted' that I finish. He doesn't 'insist' that I do anything.

What you posted otherwise was generally accurate. But, what I really can't figure is what (if anything) my past education history has to do with this thread. Other than it's fun for you to bring up to try to put me down in some weird way that I'm not getting.

No, I just have a simple, really, really simple, question for you, which you have refused to answer - which is, what are you doing standing on home plate with a bat in your hand that is so much fun that doesn't involve anything that looks like softball - you know, making a purposeful attempt to hit the ball, making a purposeful advance toward the plate, etc. etc., anyhow?

I can't answer the other question until I have some idea what you're saying you're doing that's so much fun.

I'm picturing, random flailing of her body parts while someone whizzes a ball past. I'd think she'd get hit sometimes. I wouldn't think that would be fun, but maybe it's just me.
