What kind of errands....

Do you run on a daily basis? Weekly basis? Monthly basis?

I've often heard people say that they need a lot of time during the week to run errands and that those errands would otherwise take up their evenings and weekends if they had to WOH ft. It made me curious because I just don't seem to have many errands to run at all. Are we just lazy :-)?

I think that would make a difference.

Well, if both parents need to work, maybe it's more important that they move closer to their work so their kids can participate in activities.

Do you believe I am somehow responsible for the rate at which my children tire?

Kids can build physical stamina the same way adults do. Practice. My younger one started the month of June complaining about walking two miles a day. By the end of the month he could put in five or six miles a day without batting an eye because we walked five or six miles a day every day that month whether it tired him out or not.

But we aren't talking about two people who need to work in general, we are talking about dj in particular.

She wouldn't be sacrificing where she wants to live for a little driving.

You know how you say all the time that it's quite possible that no longer having a SAHP would be hard for a kid because they're not used to DC? Perhaps parents who insist on the importance of rest far more than the importance of being physically active predispose children to be more tired if they suddenly have to be more active. A large part of endurance is building up to it. Otherwise people would prepare for marathons by resting on the couch as much as possible.
