What kind of errands....

Do you run on a daily basis? Weekly basis? Monthly basis?
I've often heard people say that they need a lot of time during the week to run errands and that those errands would otherwise take up their evenings and weekends if they had to WOH ft. It made me curious because I just don't seem to have many errands to run at all. Are we just lazy :-)?

You assume wrong. In fact, a good portion of the people who live in our area commute to the city, as do those who live in the city past ours-another 30 miles outside the city. Its not a big deal up here. Heck, if you lived in Los Angeles, you'd prob be commuting way more. Its very very common in other areas of the country to commute to work. I wouldnt move back to the city if I woh ft.
And while living in the city might be more convenient for dh and I (actually it doesnt matter for him, he has an almost 200 mile commute anyway), we didnt choose to move out here to the *sticks* for our own selfish purposes. We actually chose here FOR our children-better schools, better quality of life, etc. And they still are able to do pretty much any activity they want. My only criteria is that I wont drive to the city for weekly activities, but there are plenty of things they can do out here (music lessons, swimming, karate, volleyball, softball-you name it)

Where did I say my kids would have to sacrifice activities if I woh ft???? I'd have to juggle way more than I already do, but I wouldnt make them give things up.

I don't see this discussion as having anything to do with bashing PNJ's choices.
It is true that she has chosen to be less active because she has children. That took, what, ten posts for her to admit? She often, not just in this thread, but over the years I have been participating here, expresses dissatisfaction with the limitations of her life because she has small children and seemingly has only recently become aware that the limitations she has chosen to put on her life are not universal to families with small children, but are indeed, a choice.
If she had originally said that she finds it too much of a hassle to remain active when she has small children, or that she is just not interested in adapting the activities she and DH used to enjoy to include her small children, there would be a completely different discussion happening.
I see your point.
When my kids were younger I fell into the catagory of your last paragraph, I sometimes did not do things because of the hassle so saw her as being in that came catgory and felt that she was being bashed for that. But now I see that my read was probably wrong. I guess the difference between her and me is I alwys knew they were self made limitations.
