What kind of errands....

Do you run on a daily basis? Weekly basis? Monthly basis?
I've often heard people say that they need a lot of time during the week to run errands and that those errands would otherwise take up their evenings and weekends if they had to WOH ft. It made me curious because I just don't seem to have many errands to run at all. Are we just lazy :-)?

Ah, another member of the ranks of helpless adults enslaved against their will by teeny tiny tyrants. I feel your pain.
I kind of thought people could be parents without owning any car at all. Hadn't realized that two-year-olds out there were selecting the Suburbans and making Mom and Dad cough up the greenbacks. I also kind of thought that grownups could go out whenever they wanted - might have to have a kid in tow, is all - but now I understand that is not true - kids and CPS actually tell you to stay home! Remarkable.
I dont especially *love* taking my kids to activities-I'm a homebody myself and would prefer to do my own thing most of the time. But I couldnt imagine telling them they couldnt do an activity because I didnt feel like driving them or organizing my time for them. Plus I do think that sports, music, and social events are important for kids, so I make the effort to allow them to do the things they want to do (within reason of course). I think I'd feel really guilty if I didnt allow them to do something based solely on the fact of ME not wanting to deal with it.

Pretty much what we did as well.

Mine are both very different. Dd would be in back to back activities if I let her, ds would sit home with dogs and be homeschooled if I let him, LOL.
I try to find a balance. I insist on them each being in some kind of sport, and I limit that to one per season. And I think music is important so I also want them in some kind of music lessons or activity. We dont go crazy with the activities, partially because we do a lot of family stuff and activities can really interfere with that when there are too many, and partially because I *do* think that downtime is important. I like to see my kids being creative with their time at home, using their imaginations and enjoying free play rather than endless structured things.
