What kind of errands....

Do you run on a daily basis? Weekly basis? Monthly basis?

I've often heard people say that they need a lot of time during the week to run errands and that those errands would otherwise take up their evenings and weekends if they had to WOH ft. It made me curious because I just don't seem to have many errands to run at all. Are we just lazy :-)?

Something or a scenario that you do consider to be a problem.

Who cares? The kid cares, thats who. You won't find too many kids loving their activity and having fun if they can't enjoy some degree of success and they don't determine success by what kids 3 or 4 years younger are doing. Not alot are going to be loving soccer or hockey if they never get a foot or stick on a ball or puck. They don't like being in classes with what they consider 'babies' either. Kids who are athletcially experienced can move around among similar sports and expect to enjoy some degree of success without alot of work up. Sometimes even to dissimilar sports merely because of the time they've spent developping particular strengths and abilities that might be transferable. But others are sol. As it goes with everything else.

Really? Our school sent home a notice that any child who vomits at school MUST be picked up. The parents don't get to say "can't, have to work".

Between us and the houses on my block, there are 11 children who are 9 and under.

Good, because I didn't. Please, please find a post where I say my life is perfect or that I don't have any problems. Go ahead.

I'd say the people living in the Astrodome are experiencing some problems, despite the good Mrs. Bush and M3T thinking things are really going pretty well for them, of course.

Oh, of course they don't. Neither do all dual WOHPs have to leave work because it's an "emergency."

I totally disagree.

Yup. A school secretary calling and not finding a parent or guardian to pick the child up is an extreme emergency.
Congratulations! I'm so happy to hear it. I just heard the good news and popped back over, just in case you were still checking in.

"No no NO I never said that kids don't or shouldn't change anything. Quite the contrary. I'm saying that "change" doesn't equal "cause a problem".

The thing about debate boards is it's so easy to catch people who backpeddle and claim they never said such and so. In post 560, you said "kids don't have the power to change things for adults." That bit of BS which sabinamarrianne and I immediately challenged you on is what started this subthread. So now you've admitted that kids actually DO have the power to change things but that shouldn't cause any problems. I expect that several posts down the line you'll be claiming you NEVER said the changes don't equal "cause a problem".
