what made you decide to do what you do?

In the interest of changing the subject back to something that is actually relevant to a SAH/WOH debate (LOL!), I will pose a question to anyone who wants to answer:
Who or what would you say was the greatest influence on your decision to SAH or WOH, whichever one you do (or want to do, if you aren't doing what you want)? Did any particular person, circumstance, situation, or anything else lead you to decide this question one way or the other?
What if two different influences conflicted? How did you make the decision then?

I eventually gained the weight back and then some, but it's a condition that isn't uncommon or dangerous to mother or baby.

See, I am living the life. Take out food has little place in it. Most kids don't have activities 5 days a week that go from 4:00-7:30. And those that do (grab your socks) usually have a light snack and then a light supper afterwards. Call a gym or something where kids acutally do this stuff, and find out how it really works. Because if you are kidding yourself that your kid can't do more than one thing, becusae you'd need to do take out, you are saddly mistaken.
I'll clue you in. Ia coach finds out a kids diet is primarily take out? Guess what will happen next? Can you guess? Anyone else with kids here who actually participate in sports, can help this poster out? Homework is another issue. Slipping school grades, not good. Lack of sleep, worse yet. Lets just say, those that feed their kids on the run, in the car, 7 days a week, while pushing two hours of hw till after 8pm, 5 days a week...probably aren't going to have much opportunity for the kids to achieve much at all. Not gradeschool kids. My kid does rep soccer. Its pretty clearly stated in the rules...homework is done BEFORE games. Its not just that they have an interest in the kids academic life...children who have stuff on their minds bothering them, with hastily quaffed meals in their tummies, don't...do well. Seriously, I think you made this all up. Not only does it NOT work out the way you'd like to pretend...it CAN'T.

At a certain point, if the kid doesn't feel they are achieving something personally, the fun will go away. Kids like to have a point to what they are doing. "Because Mommy signed me up" looses its luster rather quickly.
