what made you decide to do what you do?

In the interest of changing the subject back to something that is actually relevant to a SAH/WOH debate (LOL!), I will pose a question to anyone who wants to answer:

Who or what would you say was the greatest influence on your decision to SAH or WOH, whichever one you do (or want to do, if you aren't doing what you want)? Did any particular person, circumstance, situation, or anything else lead you to decide this question one way or the other?

What if two different influences conflicted? How did you make the decision then?

I had to LOL at that one too. When I was got pregnant with DD, I was barely 19, was used to playing raquetball 3X a week, running 3-5 days a week, and working out in the gym 2-5 days a week. I was so sick with that first 4 months of my pregnancy with DD that I lost 30 (yes, that would be thirty) pounds. The only thing I could keep down or look at without loosing my cookies was tomatoes with LOTS of salt. lol...amazing, you would think the acid in it would make me more than ill. I only managed to gain back 28 pounds after I quit throwing up 5X a day, and by 6 weeks after delivery had lost another 13 pounds. That wasn't TRYING to lose weight as I didn't NEED to lose weight. That was my body adjusting to post baby issues.

Guess I really enjoyed those MONTHS of throwing up every time I turned around, though. ROFLMBO

Isn't it interesting the spin a person can put on a situation?

Nah. My dd will play for hours outside with nothing but a stick or a rope. She doesn't need me or any other adult telling her how to be active.

Ah, so you actually coach all your child's activities? Or are you on the team?

Or did you just miss the entire point?

Why do you think doing organize sports or sitting still all the time are the only two options available?

The part I don't undestand is how dropping a kid off a gym class and then going home to cook dinner is "family time".

And what makes you think everyone is like you? Honestly, on what basis do you claim that no one does things differently than you do?

What in the heck are you talking about?

Honestly, if you have to go to such bizzare lengths to try and support your opinion, don't you think that maybe your argument just doesn't hold up?
