If you're working and you don't normally use DC because your kids are at school, what are your plans for daytime childcare and activities for the summer?

I've nixed the idea of doing in-home daycare, but I could totally see myself running some kind of small summer camp program for school-aged kids.....we have a ton of space, and my neighbor has horses, stables, a riding arena, and used to be at various times an RN, a DC provider and a riding instructor, and she's always looking for things to do.....hmmmmmm, thinking about 2009. :)

Our area has a summer opportunites fair each winter, with over 100 camps setting up a booth for display.

I've been thinking for awhile about setting up a website for our town with all the info about activities and camps and stuff.

We aren't Y members, but we get the flyer each year.

That's a good idea, my area publishes a free monthly newspaper that you can pick up in many of the children stores and or areas where children are.

theatre is just the best training ground for life -- it teaches responsibility, time management, respect, it's fun, it's different and I can't sing its praises highly enough.

I will...I just can't decide if I should sign him up at the local arts center or more low key at a local high school that I have heard good things about.
