If you're working and you don't normally use DC because your kids are at school, what are your plans for daytime childcare and activities for the summer?

This is when having a flexible work schedule and school age kids comes in handy for our family. My 3 will probably have 2 camps each, and my dd13 will work some as a mother's helper. But mostly, we'll go to the beach, hang out by the pool, and they'll hang with their neighborhood friends.

It is funny. I work PT and only on the WE but we are still putting the older two in about 4 weeks of camp. I am volunteering at one of the camps. It is a GS camp and I will be working with a group that my daughters are not in but they can attend the camp free and are guaranteed a slot if I volunteer. I can also bring my 3 yo a long and they have camp activities for her. It should be fun. The twins will be attending 1 week of overnight camping for Brownies. I won't be there but they are very excited about it. We also signed up for a week of Soccer camp. That camp lasts all day too. My older daughters don't want to be at home with me. They would rather be with other kids.

Our twins are out of preschool from June 13 till August when they start kindegarten. We are going to have them in a few camps -- one is a week, 9-12 for soccer; softball and basketball. The other is a dance and arts camp same schedule. We'll also be traveling a few times to Vegas, San Diego and to Vancouver.
Our nannies hours will be the same total, but she'll be here a few longer days vs. ever day afternoons/ evenings.
