What would YOU have to do to SAH?

If you're a WOH/WAH mom, what sort of "downsizing" would you need to do in order to afford to be a SAHM? (SAHM defined here as not earning any money)

For me, I would have to put all our non-essential possessions in storage and move in with my parents.

Neither of my children takes 3 hours a night, every night, to do homework.

I'd be able to manage it if it were required just fine. How about you?

I like the way you worded this, especially the use of the phrase "instructional process".

<<I don't see why parents should be completely relied on for the education of a child less than 5, but be expected to completely check out of the process after 5.

When my kid has failed to turn in or do an assignment, they still do it.

So then why wouldn't a child understand that use of the planner and deadlines that are a week or two out?

"Honestly I can say with pretty much certainty that none of my children would need 3 hours of help."

Way to sidestep the question.

That's exactly what is being suggested -- parents shouldn't be relied upon for their children to receive an education.
