I have three key pieces of information come home weekly on my youngest; actual work done and graded, weekly class newsletter that describes what will be taught in the upcoming week on each and every subject from all the teachers, includes their spelling words and memory verse and important dates for at least the next week and sometimes further and a weekly school newsletter that details all of the upcoming events/changes at the school, important dates and a blurb from the parents group.
I didn't mean to imply that I was disagreeing with you. I was pointing out where I stand WRT this particular subject and just used your post to jump in to the fray. I think I'm probably somewhere in b/w you and PNJ but definitely more on your side of the fence in that I don't spend nearly as much time being involved in the daily work as PNJ seems to be.
What the heck is a theater geek? And because you dated someone whose younger sister was involved in the theater, that makes you an expert on "theater types" whatever that means?

Yes, I get most of my information directly from the teachers (in a variety of ways)

I don't know what your point is here regarding working in theatre being HARD WORK, not leisure. A theatre geek does not a theatre professional make.
