What would YOU have to do to SAH?

If you're a WOH/WAH mom, what sort of "downsizing" would you need to do in order to afford to be a SAHM? (SAHM defined here as not earning any money)

For me, I would have to put all our non-essential possessions in storage and move in with my parents.

Wow, that is a big expectation, imo....through 5th or 6th grade you are expected to review/correct a child's homework?

Yep, said the same thing to Dylan. In his case, repeating a grade will mean that he will almost 2 years older than the rest of the class.

Yep.

I'm more involved in a macro view. I stay very informed during school board elections. I've advocated for particular curriculums in our district. I was supposed to be PTA President last year.

I don't think anyone has said it was that simple.

I don't think anyone has said that either, that hasn't been the point at all.

I don't think that's slacking.....you put her in a good school, provide a place to do homework, you are an involved and active parent who partners with another involved active parent....if there was a problem, you would find a solution....there is simply no problem to find a solution for.

If you are a slacker, then I'm a slacker on education as well...and it's ironic because I've often been called over-involved in these debates about education and now because I don't micro manage the daily homework, it's implied that means not involved, lol.
