DS has alot of friends, but he's at an age where nerf guns, legos, whose in what sports are spoken about more than whose going home after school and whose going to daycare/after school care.
Maybe "politically correct" was meant, in the sense that people say this (daycare = school) to make themselves feel better about daycare and to make daycare seem more acceptable. But your guess is as good as mine.
I have always thought of "daycare" as a stand alone facility that provides care to children from 0-5 during the day.
daycare is a topic DH and i said we wanted to avoid before we even had children.
