There was no tears at Stephy's recital just happy children with all of the excitement and the video was a bonus because mine would of never been that good and I just got to enjoy the show.

Oh I hear you! I've been listening to that one ever since I found out I was pregnant with twins. First it was "you poor thing you will have your hands FULL." Then it was "you have your hands full." Then "you have your hands full you are done' right?" And once I got pregnant with my now 20 week old son it was looks like I was nuts:) Anyway, the peanut gallery just keeps on giving!

Cuz it's way over the top excessive for a recital for 3 year olds?

I personally don't think it was excessive.

I can't speak for Tina but at Liza's school there are kids from four to 18 performming - -and some of the 18 year olds are on theiir way to julliard, ABT, or joffrey and are very very good. The video is more to keep the really really obnoxious parents from videotaping --like the woman who planted herself in the aisle during a dress rehearsal one y ear and refulsed to let anyone by so she could shoot the whole show - it's more to PREVENT that obnoxiousness from occurring than anythign else. You can buy the video or not -- I never buy Liza's holiday recital video and sometimes by the spring one but usuall not.

"If gay Americans are not allowed to get married and have all the benefits that American citizens are entitled to by the Bill of Rights, they should get one hell of a tax break. That is my opinion,"

- Jeane "Dear Abby" Phillips, in an interview with Lisa Leff.

Okay, but being over the top for a 3 year old's recital is still a valid reason for someone who doesn't have a teen dancing.

While her behavior was totally rude, I can honestly say that my poor dd would be the one just wearing a plain old bun, and a bun that someone else would have to do for her.

If it makes you feel better, I was constantly told that too (when my kids were sub age 5). I only have two. It came from other people with 2 and 3 children.
