I also knew military wives that complained about having to move wherever the military sent them. They always irritated me! You knew the deal when you sign up (whether they were already married to the guy when he signed up or when they agreed to marry someone who was in the military).

I agree with you that the subject. I think having a savings cushion built up would make the difference. If the family has to wohp and no savings cushion, both parents are really stuck in the job unless they can find out while they are still working & go directly to the other job. If you have a savings cushion, if one of the wohp wanted to quit they have saving they can use until they find another job. I think that's probably true of eggd's friend, since eggd has mentioned the friend & that she is in a lot of debt.

I think if you don't have to work it is an easier choice. If you are looking for pt employment (or any other employment) you can wait until you find what you think is perfect for you and not take whatever is offered to you as long as it makes $XX money.
