I agree with you, it's more about the type of dh you have and your relationship.
My husband and I like to cook together all lot! It doesn't seem like a chore if you're enjoying something. While we are spending time together cooking my dd keeps my son busy!
Why do you do that much? Can't you pick 2 days out of the week and do laundry? You're wasting alot of energy.
"I pack the boys' school lunches and/or snacks."
Maybe you can delegate this chore to your nanny?
As for the cooking, make up a menu with DH and tell him that he's responsible for at least 3 days a week. Let him supervise one of the boys' shower. Make him take in his own car to be serviced. Tell him to take out the recycling one week and you do it the next.
"No, I'm not. I don't run the washing machine unless I have a full load. You have two teenagers - between kitchen and bath towels and weekly bedlinen changes, and exercise clothes, don't you have more than 5 full loads of laundry?"
You do a full load nearly every day then. You have a full load of clothes nearly every day?
I do one load of DH's and my clothes. One load of DD's clothes, one load of towels and one load of whites a week. All at night to save energy. I don't change the sheets weekly, every other week suffices.

How often do you have your cleaning lady?

"How often do you have your cleaning lady? "
She comes every two weeks, did come every week when the kids where smaller.
"How much laundry do you have a week?"
I throw in a load a day.
"Does your cleaning lady do all the towels, sheets, etc.?"
she does sheets and what ever is in the laundry room when she gets there(or what ever she has time for)
"I write about 10 to 15 checks a month for bills that can't be automated."
Do you use online banking? I do it really helps. There are a few checks I write out...but they don't take more than ten minutes to do.
"I do all of our investment planning. "
My dh is the banker....he handles investments.
" I pack the boys' school lunches and/or snacks.I sign off on the homework assignment book. "
so do I.
The rest I explained above.
The biggest difference between you household and mine is our husbands...and possibly our children.(do your children clean up after themselves?)
Work is also a factor...but again comes back to your dh....he should be doing a heck of a lot more.

You don't have to amuse me with your thankful comment.
You won't take advice and you know it, not from anyone.
You like playing the WOHM-hubby-doesn't-help-martyr.
Why do you feel the need to complain how things are so unequal, yet do nothing about it?
"but things like the cleaning service and the preschool require written checks."
5 minutes ofyour time tops.
