Which came first, the title or the SAHW?

Last night I attended my husband's work Christmas party. I sat with the CEO, CFO, CTO, COO (Chief operations officer, I didn't know that acronym, I had to ask), Creative Director, Marketing Director and their wives. Near the end of the evening it was just we wives chatting mostly about kids. I made the observation that even though all the wives were intelligent, educated and accomplished women, not a single one (except me), woh. They are all SAHM's.
Any thoughts on why that might be? I have my own opinion but I'd like to hear from everyone else first. Do you think they sah because of their husbands jobs or their husbands have their jobs because the wives stay home? Or doesn't it matter?

Compare apples to apple's, we don't care what your commute is now or work hours are now, talk about what they were when your child was small.

Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color. Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable.
The nanny I would have viewed as taking my place. Maybe I'm weird that way.
prep period -- of course you have that off -- you have nothing to prep for. it's hardly ever "free" for me
lunch -- free for you, often free for me (btw, last year it wasn't free for me because i had kids in my room every single day for tutoring, extra help and finishing make-up work).
hall duty -- only busy when the lunch shift changes....mostly free for you...not free for me as i use that time to make phone calls or grade papers
team meeting -- free for you, HARDLY free for me -- i run the meeting. we discuss kids on a daily basis, plan special event days, plan field trips, meet with parents.
therefore much of your day is free because you are a visitor....as a teacher your day would hardly be as free as it is now. don't think you can even begin to compare the two.

I don't think you're weird.
Is it because it would have been the nanny, a paid non family member, or that you weren't working (I'm guessing) when your DH or ILs took the boys to the park?
