opinion to DIFFER. What I mean is--is there anyone on this board or in real life whose opinion/reasoning/debating/facts started to make your thinking more to the middle? As in if you thought sah or woh was best & then after some discussion/thought, you began to think that whatever is best for each family--really there is no one best way, etc.

We just really needed a new thread here!!!!!!!!

If my kids make poor choices, I'll be disappointed too. I'm not going to pretend I agree with them when I don't. But I'll always support my *kids*, even if I don't always support their choices.

I don't see why expressing an opinion that I was disappointed if one of my boys got divorced is inconsistent with also expressing caring and understanding.

My parents hated my college boyfriend with a passion and made it quite clear they disapproved of him and of our relationship.

Trust me, I know. I have worked in a restaurant. I just try not to think about that when I'm eating in one!

"Is there some reason as to why you're willing to share the *frequency* of your sexual experiences but not the *when*?"

Is there some reason it's important to the debate?

<<"I am under no illusions whatsoever that this is indeed a distinct possibility.>>

"She's, what, 11?"

She's 9.

"Why do you think it's not a distinct possibility?"

I don't. I think it *is* a distinct possibility.

Technically, the law recognizes that teens are adults for 2 years, 18 and 19. I know everybody is using "teen" as a stand-in for the more accurate "highschool student", but adulthood does legally start before the teen years end.

Legally, yes, for most things. You have to be 21 to drink.

But we're not debating your personal decision or any other individual 15 year old's decision.
