opinion to DIFFER. What I mean is--is there anyone on this board or in real life whose opinion/reasoning/debating/facts started to make your thinking more to the middle? As in if you thought sah or woh was best & then after some discussion/thought, you began to think that whatever is best for each family--really there is no one best way, etc.

We just really needed a new thread here!!!!!!!!

Things may be, but people aren't necessarily better or worse.

No nor do I rank them. I could care less who is better at what. I was simply answering a direct question. Some her tried to turn in into me standing around with a chart and ranking them. It is rather silly and quite odd to suggest that I would do that. When I was clearly answering a question.

"In your opinion aftercare would be BETTER than my care because I let them watch tv when they are home? Maybe they should attend aftercare for 15 hours a week (5 days, 3 hrs/dy) instead of 2 hours a week (2 days, 1 hr/dy) since they watch tv at home but not at aftercare (it's at school)."

Aftercare might be better than your care - seriously.

Apparently only the more militant WOHMs think the fact that children see their parents (one of each gender) get up every day and go to WOH has any value.

Did I even mention SAH? And don't most families have at least one member with paid employment?

Better and worse are completely about bad and good.

Not in your case - you have wealthy parents.

I think it is better that I SAH and worse if I had to WOH for my children's sake. However even though I think it is worse it wouldn't be bad.

"Personally I think the difference lies in the fact that we are their parents; we love them unconditionally; they care about that relationship deeply."

I agree with the statement above, but I don't see how that translates into "parental care is better than othercare."
