Sometimes sah is just as stressful. One period I was a sah with an infant and toddler, my dh traveled M-Thu. I much preferred us both working and sharing the parenting duties. Heck, I did work for awhile when he traveled and it was still less stressful than being with the kids 24/7 as sole caregiver.

For some of my friends, take out the two full time jobs and replace it with one fulltime job, part time daycare and they are stressed, it's just in their nature.

I'm sorry, I am having trouble following your posts.

Sorry, when someone is placed on ignore, the post shows up deleted for me. I don't know why yours was his morning, but I did have other issues viewing several other posts this morning.

Again, sorry, I do not know what you are asking. Could you clarify?

Why are they doing all of the chores? Why isn't their partner helping?

I have never done all the chores- regardless of my work status. Now, that I'd agree with- doing all the chores would be highly stressful.

You're right, everyone experiences stress differently.

I have two preteen boys and we generally do laundry once a week. It doesn't take too long to do 4-6 loads at a time. It's the folding and putting away I dislike. I've solved the putting away by giving everyone his own basket with his clothes to put away. I am working on getting them to fold it too.

Even then DH and I haven't done all the chores. We have been lucky to have an every other week cleaning lady (since BCE). That helps - again- regardless of each of our work statuses. Although, she did come every week when I was working and that was less stressful. Now, we just live in a dirtier house for the second week ;)

do you agree or disagree that if you or your DH had full time jobs outside the home and two or three young children who were in daycare 50 hours a week, you might have a higher stress level than if one of you worked less or had a more flexible schedule?

this has been hashed before in previous debates.
