I'd be much less busy if I didn't WOH and wasn't gone from the house 47 hours a week for that purpose.

ROFLOL! I get up at 4:45 every school morning. I leave at 6:00 and get to work by 7:00. School starts at 8:00.

I look at this differently for me and our family, which is why my opinions are quite different.

"For me is sacrificing a little, kind of put your own life on hold for a few years, so the kids can have a great start and build memories that will stay with us forever."

I don't see any need to sacrifice my career.

But you have 4 out of 5 kids in school, right? So you can go during the day if you did the shopping even though, maybe I am incorrect, I thought you have said in the past your dh does all the food shopping (?).

Make note of this.....I agree..

LOL....Ah yes, I remember my SAH/kids-in-preschool days. Let's see, the preschool drop-off time was 9:00 or so. Most of the stores (except for the supermarkets)

I guess I don't see my time when the boys are in school are spent "filling it". I do volunteer at the school, but I'd do that regardless of sah or woh. Housework and other chores also get done regardless of my work status. I do things I put on hold when I had the children. Volunteering, not at schools, but at direct service non-profits.
