Another blinkie that I've seen (and may yet steal when I come across it again) says (in rainbow letters) "straight by not narrow."

Right, but you wrote:

LOL, my grown son has been known to respond to any and all criticism of his behavior by his Dad or I with, "Well YOU raised me." So, there ya go :)

Yes, I got it. I said I would just try to be good. I just don't believe I am the only one who needs to hear this advice.

Ah, I see. I think that was in reference to someone saying children left with a nanny all the time. I do know adults that felt their grandparents (or whoever) raised them. This certainly wouldn't apply to everyone.

I'm not here to play games. I just pointed out how some statements can give out a general, negative view of sahps. It just seems odd to have certain ppl pointing a finger at someone, yet can't see the same things on themselves.

It really does amazes me you can make a statement on what you view a sahp does and that's ok, your words "This to me would be an example of parents who very much raise their kids, but who do not necessarily do much of the regular feeding and watering"

You can compare staying home and caring for infant as "feeding and watering" and no one bats an eyelash? They can go on for hundreds of posts because someone made a statement about wanting to raise their children? No, this doesn't make sense to me.

I think it's awful that is an awful generalization describing what a caregiver or a sahp does. just as you didn't care for the statement about raising a child .. .at least I explained my statement.

What does this mean, then?

>> No, thanks, I am pretty sure I am not going to change certain peoples minds about it at all no mater how I word it. <<

Oh, P.S., I also said IF that's your goal. Not that it WAS your goal.
