It is offensive when you say that it sounded like a "personal problem", I don't have a problem.

It is offensive when you say that you would be embarrassed by saying what I said.

Plus you can not say it someone was offended or not by what you said, YOU DID say offensive remarks, the fact that you don't think they were offensive doesn't change the fact that it was offensive to me.

I think the problem here is that you feel you are superior to other teachers because of your experience, and therefore think you deserve more respect than they do.

That's odd. So, I can go around talking about everyone here, sayin what I want and that is ok?

Seems like a rule that leads to much pettiness. I will see if I can find the moderators note saying we are year to discuss issues not ppl.

you don't deserve disrespect for that, but neither is respect automatically given. I don't care if a new teacher came in with 10 years of clinical biology experience. The FACT is that a veteran teacher has YEARS of experience over you -- in a CLASSROOM where, for us, THAT's where it counts.

We had one teacher come in after having had some years (don't know how many) in a lab situation. Her first year was quite rocky - difficult time managing the kids, yelling alot, etc. Nothing uncommon for a first year teacher. One of the things that the administration did was switch her up to 8th grade -- as it was a much better fit for her and, as she's gotten a few years of classroom teaching under her belt, her teaching/management style has smoothed out quite a bit.
