>>You are failing to take into account the difference in staff, training, and experience of the two situations as well.<<

Well, then why was it assumed, that sahm would leave their child is a gym day care? Why was that generalized? I wonder if that member intended to make such a generalization.

>>If you're with a child 20-40 hours a week, you're more likely to know what soothes them, why they're crying, etc than a gym provider who may see that child 2-4 hours a week<<

See, exactly, this is why would also they had more influence of the child and more involved with raising that child.

I see this argument alot the "d/c providers will have influence on your child" argument and I still fail to understand what's wrong with that -- I welcomed their influence, their ideas, their deep understanding an dlove for her-- I wanted them to be an active part of her life b/c they had her in their care for 40 hours a week why would I NOT want them to be a strong influence on her?

>>i have to LOL at the remark that it's ok to have kids with a DCP but not ok for a mom to have her child at home<<

*shrug* and I guess we're not suppose to talk about why we chose what we we did, right?

"there's something wrong apparently with being a SAHM and everything right about being a WOHM."

I haven't found that to be the case on this board ( of course excluding CLW). Shrug.

I see the vast vast majority of posters saying "I believe there is no overall ideal/standard and that each family needs to figure out which options work best for their particular circumstances."

A certain member wants to know why this debate doesn't end. It's because this has been answered multiple times.

No one ever say it was "wrong". This statement came up because someone "implied" that is what I said ... but, it was never said. This is why it's wrong to jump to conclusions. This is why it's wrong to think you know someone's intentions. (not you, as in you, but generally.)

The rest of you post I already commented on and agreed with. I actaully said that during this debate. As you can see though, those parts are generally edited out of ppls posts when they want to imply what is meant.

Unless featheredhead *is* the argument, "tired" modifies "argument", not "featheredhead".

So which is it? Are you debating the idea or featheredhead?
