Why does some people think women at home

should do it all? I hear this and think why should a woman at home do every thing? Shouldn't it be whatever works? Shouldn't it be whatever floats the boat of the married couple? Confused on this thinking.

If you are home do you do it all? How does your DH or SO feel?

WOH do you do it all or do you split it? Do you do more or less since you WOH?

oops. I was being facetious. The emotions really don't come through in these posts, huh.

My dd is only 11 mo and she usually takes two 1 hour naps during the day so our nanny will sometime clean the bathroom (nothing major, wipes the mirrors, sometimes scrubs the toilet), sometimes vacuum...

I've told her that she doesn't have to do anything house related but she would bring in the trash cans, clean (as above). One day, I left my laundry in the dryer because i didn't get a chance to fold it and when I came home, it was all folded. I felt kind of bad, but she told me that when our dd's sleeping she gets a bit bored.

It's funny, we hired someone to clean the house because I'm no good at keeping the house clean and i didn't want our nanny to feel like she "needs" to clean.

Well in our house it is (unfortunately for me), the big earner who has the power. For instance, I wanted to take another vacation and dh wanted to expand our terrace and put in a new retaining wall. Guess what's going on in our backyard?

What's wrong with Libra's? Or is it our inability to make a decision?

Nor in mine. I can see when you cannot come to a decision together one just giving it up to the other but not becuase they are the wage earner. But because you trust them to make a good decision.

I can only answer for my own relationship.

He usually does.

Mostly because of personality - I don't really *want* many material things. And he loves toys. (He goes to Home Depot for screws and comes home with a new drill) But recently because I quit my FT job and WAH, I feel like he's given me a gift in that I was able to get off the working rat race and do something I really wanted to do.

So I guess that's why I find it hard to imagine how it would work in a relationship where only one person was making money. I would find it hard to ask for anything for myself.

But that's probably due in a large part to my own issues.

What man can resist a home improvement project? Isn't that just code for "I get to buy new tools!"?

DH is currently redoing DD's room. He is in Home Depot more than the employees. LOL.

I don't know if anything's wrong. My Libra is only 20 months old :)

I'm a Virgo/Libra cusp. So does that mean I want to be perfect but can't make up my mind? That would explain a whole lot about me!

Well, I have a weakness for houseplants...so whenever DH goes to Home Depot & go right along & just veer off to the gardening section. Home Depot for me is code for "Where can I fit another houseplant"? :)
