should do it all? I hear this and think why should a woman at home do every thing? Shouldn't it be whatever works? Shouldn't it be whatever floats the boat of the married couple? Confused on this thinking.

If you are home do you do it all? How does your DH or SO feel?

WOH do you do it all or do you split it? Do you do more or less since you WOH?

Even in the privacy of your backyard? If you answer yes, then one more reason for me to hate HOA's LOL

Sahm's having an education or not varies greatly by WHERE you live. In my area, the only SAHM's I know have had careers and left since having children. It's all in where you live. Perhaps if you lived near me your "view" on sahm's would be very different.

Well, now you've met at least one. I was married very young. Everything happened fairly quickly. My last ft job outside the home ended about a month before DH and I began dating. (I *did* have stock. But I wouldn't have referred to myself as an heiress. By that time, everything left was used to pay off DH's debt and purchase our home... well, 50% of it) By circumstance alone, it just stayed that way. It didn't make sense to get a job by then.

I so love the arguement that because a man works and the wife sah, suddenly everyone feels sorry for him because he "doesn't get to be a parent" or only parents 25 % of the time....please tell me how you and your dh manage to "parent" while both working full time jobs?????

Oh, but I forgot it is possible to parent full time and work full time as long as both parents are working full time....but if one parent works full time and one parent stays at home...suddenly the poor man has no time with his family.

Yep, now I get it.

Your wrong. I don't really care what you think or believe. That doesn't make my life different. I don't know the techy term for working out because as I said I don't have a home gym and I don't have a gym membership. Everyone is not made from the same mold. So I don't fit the profile you are accustomed to seeing, that doesn't say anything honey. And the fact I don't want cosmetic surgery for myself I should have more to say about it? It isn't a topic of interest. Do you make a habit of discussing and learning about something you could care less about. You have such an attitude about any person that is different than you. Good thing I don't know you in real life, I'm sure you wouldn't be on my friend's list by your portrayal here.

I'm also a long time member of the IVillage community so just because up until now I have only lurked and not posted here on this particular board does not make me a troll. What, new people are not allowed to access the board for participation, read only?

You didn't answer the question. You've been talking about equality. Can any sahp have equal status to the wohp?
