On the economical side of things, a comparison needs to be made between the homemaker and working-wife families.

No...here I sit at my desk at work. Doing a job I enjoy. And there in my purse is my paycheck, showing that I am indeed taking part in a career, not just volunteering.

And when I go home, there will be my amazing DD, the home I provide for her, the clothes I provide for her, etc. We will snuggle on the couch, talk about our days, do her homework, get her bath, have a snack, read stories, and I will tuck her in and kiss her goodnight.

Oh and then there's the little fetus in my belly, who I definitely dont just *think* is there, as evidenced by enormous bbs, morning sickness, and multiple positive tests.

Yeahhhh, both my career and my family are real. Sorry if you have trouble maintaining both a career and family, but I don't. *shrug*

So they aren't running around naked and hungry and without medical care? Just a guess...

Even in your ideal scheme, don't husbands sometimes die or run off with some Jezebel at work?

I swear you are baiting all of us into an April Fool's Day Joke.

What is your alternate handle?

I love that you just used the word "Jezebel".

I have often thought that would be such a pretty first name for a little girl, you know, if it wouldn't guarantee a lifetime of working the pole.

A good father plans for his children and provides for his family. If he can't provide for his family, he should not marry and have children.
