WOH and sleeping issues

We were at a dinner party last night at the home of one of dh's coworkers. They have 2 boys, 6 and 4. They have a bunch of sleeping issues (kids 'scared' at night, won't fall asleep in their own bed, won't go to bed without mom or dad cuddling them, etc.) The mom blames herself because since she works all day and misses them so much she tends to cuddle with them late at night and they fall asleep in a pile on the bed all together. She said that if she SAH, they wouldn't have the same issues.

I sah. For us, bed time is a rigid, welcome respite at the end of the day. Dh has no desire to keep them up either, lol.

LOL. You mean your almost 6yo breaks other children's limbs if you're not standing right over him? Now I get it.
Congratulations! I'm so happy to hear it. I just heard the good news and popped back over, just in case you were still checking in.

The only accident either of the kids ever had occured when dh was actually holding dd's hand. They were doing the 1,2,3 jump swinging between two people and her elbow popped out. 2 hours and an emergency room visit later it was back in again, thank goodness! But dh will never, ever, ever swing a child like that again :-).

My boys would trade almost anything to live that close to SeaWorld.

So where do you draw the line? Kids in straitjackets don't get dirty. What would be the moral objection to using them?

LOL, I would have thought it fact and not opinion that at least a few 2yo or 3yo kids need afternoon naps, but it appears I would be mistaken.

I guess it depends on how the kids act in the tub. From what it sounds like, Felicia's kids end up with broken limbs and stitches if she takes her hands off them for a second. So baths must be quite an undertaking in that house.
